Battlefield Play4Free Petition - Please Sign

Signed. Good idea. While Battlefield 3 will be my haunting ground, there's no reason why we shouldn't have a local server for BF - Play 4 Free :D
 
lol I love how one host is mentioned :)

We have already discussed this with the Publisher and did get the answer that at this stage it was not financially viable to hos this title or Heroes in our country.

I will point the publisher to your petition though

Thanks Xero, though it would be nice to get a larger quantity of signatures.

Many of us have tried the play4free on the international servers and it's just not playable and we get kicked for high pings. Potentially it has a much larger following than the Petition lets on at this moment.
 
Yeah when I started discussing it with DICE it was just after it was announced, they basically run this game in much the same way as they run Heroes, paid for content and advertising pays for the free game
I think that license, the one to use ingame advertising is only for certain territories though, and that is why they seem to not want to give us a server
 
Done, but I fear that once BF3 releases, almost no one will play this anymore. At least not locally, but good luck mate.
 
Battlefield Play4Free is pretty much a upgraded version of BF2 (some of the BF2 maps are there aswell), the graphics are pretty much the same but there are more weapons, equipment etc. Would be great to get a server!
 
I played it last night. The gfx is really not something to write home about. Looks like it was a German server I connected to. The server was full with 32 on a side, but the lag was something terrible. I managed to play 2 games and level up to rank 2.

If it was to happen that way(and I believe it will), then at least we have the P4F available in SA for future P4F games from DICE(maybe even other in the future). Would love to be able to play some Battlefield Play4Free and even some BF:Heroes again, without lag/latency will be a bonus.
