Stipulations of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act have discouraged private enterprise from donating funds to a Pretoria children's home because most of the children are white, it was reported on Tuesday.

"There's nothing we can do about it... it's a sad situation," Jakaranda Children's Home marketing executive Elzane van der Merwe told The Times.

Welcome to SA where White orphans are less deserving of help compared to Black orphans.

You lost your parents and have nothing left, sorry your not Black so I can't help you because technically (Based on the ANC's definition) your not disadvantaged. I hate this country at times like this

but there are black children as well, just not enough to fill the quota it seems....

I know but I'm attacking the logic using Home A with a White Child and Home B with a Black child.
The fact that Black children are being held back based on Ratios sucks but the logic here is disgusting. A child that has been abandoned is a very sad story regardless of race, to hold back charity based on race is just really salt to the wound. All orphans deserve the right to a future.
