Bentley Continental GT Speed

Luxury carmaker Bentley has unveiled what it claims to be the world's fastest four-seat convertible.

The wraps come off the new Continental GT Speed on January 14 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The car is the drophead version of the coupe first shown in August 2012.

The open topper is fitted with four-wheel drive as standard and powered by a 12-cylinder, six-litre engine which turns out 624 horsepower. Top speed is given as

I added the actual car to the thread - it's a pretty ugly colour isn't it? I'd describe that as Metallic Pimp Purple.

This Aston talk reminds me of the new Ford Mondeo - the "poor man's" Aston Martin rip-off. Still looks pretty slick, with some Ford reliability to boot.
