Which is the best class in Borderlands?

I picked up Borderlands today and I'd like to get some feedback as to what you guys think is the best character for optimal gaming enjoyment?
 
My friend plays bezerker and he's enjoying it lots.

I'm playing the Soldier. It's a lekker class to play specially if you are going to play this CO OP as most of the Soldier's Perks/Skills are team based. Ie, there is a class mod that regenerates ammo for you and the whole team, you deployable turret (special skill) can be upgraded to dish out health and ammo aswell.

He's proficient with SMG and Assault rifles, so it's my cuppa tea!!!!!!
 
My one buddy who plays the Hunter class has some EPIC sniper rifles. Holy crap.

For my level I allready have an awesome SMG aswell.
 
Im going to have to go with the soldier. Level up enough and that placeable turret becomes a huge asset.
 
Soldier. One word.... corterize. Nothing beats blasting you buddy in the face and watching his health bar climb. Me and Spooner are both soldiers and when running around shooting everything that moves we must look like the twins from hell or something.

Overpowered snipers FTW!
 
I am loving the soldier, as Omega said, cortirize is sick, imba heal.

Plus I have a MEAN sniper and shotgun which do insane damage.
 
Im really enjoying my Siren but i also have a beserker that im leveling beside her, and both are fun to play, just take it as personal pref.

I find revolvers to be way more effective than snipers. My one pistol did 56x7 which I got in my early 20s. My current one is doing about 450 with x4 corrosion.

Snipers are cool but normally I'm too far away for bloodwing to be effective if I'm using a sniper. btw bloodwing rocks, never used him much in the beggining but now I love the little bastich.
 
I think I must agree, the sniper rifles become somewhat redundant when Bloodwing gets to the higher levels.

I'm at level 19 though and I've yet to find a pistol that really rocks my socks; my current one does decent shock damage but it usually comes short when I'm being savaged by packs of them Alpha critters.

My current pistol now deals 2300-2800 Critical hit damage :D
 
Just finished it though with the Hunter, he suits my style perfectly, long range snipers and close range revolver power. Aslo, Jakobs ad Dahl weapons go well with the Hunter, high power and accurate.

Can't say anything about the others. Going to play as the Siren next.
 
With my new class mods and level ups, I just finished playthrough 1 with 2 mates, Pistol dealing 5300 critical hit damage. ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
