Best connection!

Hey all, how do you get the least latency? Got a slow ADSL line and running on a Belkin wireless router... Play most of my games on my PS3, currently playing MW2.

1) What should I do to get the best online game play using my current setup?

and

2) What would be the ideal setup here in SA with a decent budget?

If your looking for the best latency, the first step is to go wired. The second step, is to either look for a good unshaped package or VPN. I use the Axxess Express+ uncapped package (SAT-3 Fibre unshaped uncapped) and I get latencies of 200-300ms to Europe. That's really about as low as you can go. Improvements to local infrastructure could shave 10-30ms off that, but the real limitation here is that the speed of light is just not fast enough to get less than 200ms to Europe.

Speed of light isn't really the limiting factor here you know

But yes, switching to wired would definitely help your cause.
