Best Fighting Game of 2012

2012 is rapidly drawing to a close and here at MyGaming we are reflecting on the best games of the past year. It doesn’t really matter what the MyGaming crew says though – we want to know what the community thinks!

We have begun the voting for the best games of the year in various categories, as well as the best game overall for 2012.

Please lend your opinion to the community vote by participating in the poll attached to this thread.

Be sure to vote in the other categories, and don't miss out on voting for the Best Game of 2012, as there is a Nintendo WiiU up for grabs!

Once voting has closed on 18 December, we will announce the community chosen winners in a series of articles.

The Tekken franchise will always take this category unless something really amazing comes up. and as for Streetfighter vs Tekken, in my opinion they made a huge mistake. Instead of taking Tekken characters and throwing them into the Streetfighter style, they should have taken the Streetfighter characters and thrown them into the tekken style of play. game wouldve been much more successful

Actually they also planned Tekken X Streetfighter which use the Tekken style of fighting...there were some vids on the NAG disc some time ago.

Also voted Tekken Tekken 2 was the first game my dad bought me when I got my Playstation. My mom was addicted to it :wtf:

Tekken X Street Fighter (pronounced Tekken Cross Street Fighter) is an upcoming crossover fighting game being developed by Namco Bandai Games. It crosses the universes of Namco's Tekken and Capcom's Street Fighter into one game creating a roster from both franchises. The game was announced at the 2010 San Diego Comic-Con International by Namco producer Katsuhiro Harada. The gameplay of Tekken X Street Fighter will continue to feature the same 3D fighting game engine of the Tekken franchise, as opposed to Street Fighter X Tekken, which features the 2D styled gameplay of Street Fighter IV.
