Best gaming mouse for FPS

I've literally played with almost everything out there, some sponsored, some bought and I have to say that I finally got stuck on the RAT
It just does everything I need it to do and never gives me any issues.
Even the RAT 3 is decent and for the price is probably one of the best entry level mice available

Try the 5 if you are not big on Wireless

In light of this I have ordered a Cougar but tbh I have never heard of the brand and have very low expectations going in

Well you're going to love it, no doubt.
Took around 40min for me to absolutely love it.

Don't think I'll be changing to another mouse for at least a year.

Flex, I predominantly play on Console these days but yes I do game, on occasion, on my iMac
I also use my mouse for other things besides gaming, like working etc :)

If you use the mouse for work your obvious choice is an ergonomical mouse :p

I reccomend the G400s, you can use it for 8 hrs with no pain, you may just need to get used to the finger positioning :)

Ok speaking from personal experience...

My first real gaming mouse was a Thermaltake, then a Razer ( this was back in 2004-6 days)

Then I went on a gaming hiatus for a couple of years after 2007. I re-emerged into the scene in 2012 and bought myself a Thermaltake Tt Esports Black (not by choice just because it's all the shop had) it's a brilliant mouse & does the trick.

But I wanted more so I then purchased an Alienware TactX ( great looking mouse, one flaw though the weave around the cable unravels and it actually hinders movement eventually, also it looks bad).

I then bought myself a Razer Naga Molten ( loved it, great comfort ect.), loved it so much in fact that I bought the Razer Mamba 4G a year later. The Naga Molten mouse had a part that went loose I sent it in and they told me they would not fix it ( it was less than 8 months old) I emailed Razer USA to try and get them to put pressure on Raze SA, they answered me with: " we support the decision made by Razer SA" (in other words Razer SA's service is !#* ) After that I decided to open it up myself turns out the cylindrical piece of plastic that holds the bearing was just manufactured poorly and was all that needed replacing, they refused still though so to this day I don't have a Naga Molten anymore ( this all happened in the beginning of last year).

I then decided I am going to try and give SS a go and bought myself the Steelseries Sensei ( the regular one). It is by far the most comfortable and best mouse for FPS out there.

Simplistic, great sensor and yeah just an all round champ.

I loved it so much that when SS South Africa decided to hold the promotion last year that if you trade in your old headphones/ mouse or keyboard you get -10% off any new purchase of SS products (just one of the 3 but it doesn't matter which one) if the item is broken. If the item is in good working condition you could get as much as -30% (which is what I got for my Alienware TactX). So I then bought myself the wireless Sensei.

So at this point in time I use both the wireless Sensei & the Razer Mamba 4G. I accidently removed all the firmware from my SS mouse ( my own doing) Steelseries told me I should just send them all the papers (proof of payment ect.) I shouldn't worry about just installing the firmware ect. They will just replace it ( so their support is WAY better...)

TLDR/ Cliffs:

-I own both the Steelseries Sensei & the Razer Mamba 4G
- Steelseries is more comfortable and minimalistic so your fps will do better
- if you like more buttons though maybe look at a Deathadder

- Best FPS mouse imho is SS Sensei

however do not neglect the Corsair Vengeance, Thermaltake, Logitech & Roccat Koni, ect. There are many many great mice out there

I can name so many. In the end the mouse is dependant on :

Your hand size
Your grip
Do you like the way it feels ( comfort)
can you use it for long periods without your wrist getting strain? ( most important feature imho)
Do you like the way it looks? ( also important because just like if you wear a nice suit you feel good, so too will you play good if people compliment you on your mouse ;) )
You will never use more than 4800dpi imho

Hell I don't even use 2000 so the 8000 thing is a gimmick. Think I use between 800-1600 depending on the game.
Again this is up to you.

Best of luck bru :)

Hey guys. I own a Logitech MX518. I've had it for a couple of years now and the left button is starting to "double click" on me. When you for instance press down to fire, it first does a very slight click before doing the actual click. Its very minor but annoys the crap out of me.

I've been looking looking at getting a new mouse, preferably Logitech. I've used a MX510 before this one, so all in all, for the last ~10 years or so, I've used the Logitech.

The Logitech G400S looks very similar in design to the MX518, both the mouse design and button layout. I would like to get something familiar to MX518. Anyone used both? Similar in performance?

I only have experience with the G400s and it's one of the best gaming mice I have used. You really can't go wrong.

I got the 502 and love it but the Mamba chroma does look the sexiest. Yes, I used the word "sexiest" to describe a mouse :wtf:
