Hi,

It looks like our old billion router is starting to go so i'm looking for something new that isn't too expensive and had 4 ports.

Our current router used to take a minute at most to start up and connect but now it takes around 10min,it also sometimes resets to the factory default settings and this morning nothing seems to work.I can't even open the router via the usual 10.0.0.2 address.

I don't know what the average price is for routers so i'm looking for a few suggestions with different prices.

Thanks.

I've got a D-link DSL2760U and it's been great for the past 2-3 years that I've had it. I was first given a Netgear (can't remember the model number) to replace my old D-link and it was a piece of shit - Black Ops would have terrible lag spikes, Steam would take forever connect (if it did connect at all!). I was lucky enough to sell that Netgear off fairly fast and get the D-link 2760U to replace it.

If I remember correctly it costed about R700-R800

Hmm I have an older version D-Link and also have not had any issues with it apart from the PSU packed up twice due to old age. First time round I fixed it and got it going again. The last time I just swopped it out and the modem is still working fine.

I use a TP-Link and a Netgear router and never had problems with either and works well for gaming.
