Best RPG game of 2012

2012 is rapidly drawing to a close and here at MyGaming we are reflecting on the best games of the past year. It doesn’t really matter what the MyGaming crew says though – we want to know what the community thinks!

We have begun the voting for the best games of the year in various categories, as well as the best game overall for 2012.

Please lend your opinion to the community vote by participating in the poll attached to this thread.

Be sure to vote in the other categories, and don't miss out on voting for the Best Game of 2012, as there is a Nintendo WiiU up for grabs!

Once voting has closed on 18 December, we will announce the community chosen winners in a series of articles.

I went with Guild Wars 2. But wow there's some good games in this list! I enjoyed Mass Effect 3, Diablo III and Dark Souls so much and there's so many on the list that I still want to play.

yeah, lot of good games in that list, but Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning stood out for me the most

Torchlight II was by far the one that I enjoyed most. It gets my vote.

So many votes for D3? REALLY??? I was a huge fan boi, from number 1. But D3 was average at best. Kingdoms of Amalur should be getting way more votes than it has now as well.

i remember the first diablo... the excitement we use to get from a new franchise coming out... Now it is all this II or that one 3 etc... Why can't they be original?

Franchises sell. It's very hard for an unknown game to breach the market and do well. It does happen but it's much safer to go with sequels.

It's unfortunate but it's the way things go hey. I mean, when I heard Diablo III was coming out I was excited like crazy. New IP's? Not so much but the gems do come.
