guess the law has to be more refined. but i understand what you are saying and it makes sense.

I'm not a mod or anything, that's just my opinion. I figure if you come across a nice deal, it's handy to fellow gamers if you share, that's the point of a community like this and will encourage people to come here more, however saying here's some other more similar sites to this one can potentially lose MyGaming some traffic to competition, and would therefore be bad for MyGaming. Therein lies the difference.

Then you get people who just want free advertising of their own products and will go around and post about it in forums. That would be spam.

I think a good rule of thumb to go by is to consider
1. Is it a helpful tip +1
2. Is this something that could be damaging to MyGaming - 1
3. Is this something on par with junk mail - 100 (likely to invoke the ban hammer)
