Bethesda talks about Skyrim's dragons

Wait, does this mean that once the main quest is done there will be no more dragons?

Naah. Think they just mean that the dragon encounters will only trigger after we reach a point in the main quest. It would be pretty sad if there are a limited number of draggies and we come along and exterminate them all. I no wants to make draggies extinct! :(

/sadface

I might not want to make them extinct, but I still want to kill as many as possible. I can sell the dragon horns as an aphrodisiac in some backwater town. :P

LOL

Dragon testicles: for that extra kick in the bedroom.

You're right, I can totally see that being a lucrative investment in some Redguard village :p

Bahaha! Awwwhh man, Skyrim is gonna destroy my life.

Say, do we have any info on dragons possibly being pets/mounts?
cukrzyca
If they won't be, I'm pretty sure someone out there is gonna make a mod for it.
Man that'd be.... siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiick.

I literally haven't been as excited for a game's release as I am for Skyrim since back in the days with Oblivion. I might even be worse now. I get excited nowadays, but not like this. I'm not even going to be able to sleep the night of the 10th.

Haha that video was epic; subscribed to their channel.

Good question on Dragons spawning after main quest completion.

They have previously said that dragons are an unlimited enemy spawn, so it's more like a randomly generated encounter to match your level (curse you Bethesda world levelling system!). So I would suppose that they will still spawn after the main quest is completed and you can mission around the world; unless the main quest involved removing the dragon threat forever - in which case, that would suck...

Can't wait for some mods for this game xD I think dragons should be a huge threat at first, one you cannot possibly defeat, and only later once you are all levelled up and hardcore, will you stand a chance. Still, the vanilla game has got to have something for everyone, so that wouldn't work out the box.

However, dungeons themselves will still level with you and adjust to the level when you first entered them. Possibly if you return later in the game to the dungeon again, the enemies will be inferior to you.
:)

Yup, yup :D

Arrgh... two weeks... C'moooooon, Skyrim!

P.S. Love the alias, but then I'm biased :)

CPT most definitely rocks. :P

I originally wasn't planning on picking Skyrim up but then I realised it's my birthday month and I'd kick myself every hour, on the hour, from release until I get my hands on the game. BRING AWN THE DRAGONS!

How are you guys getting your hands on it :). Did your order it online (hoping it will arrive on the 11th) or will you guys go to a shop.

I ordered it online but will pick it up myself from their warehouse :).

No risks on this one. :)

I'll be pre-ordering from Takealot next week at the same time I order my new laptop, mouse, headset, etc. I don't mind getting it a day or two late though, I'm in Matric finals right now so the longer I go without it, the better it is for my future, I guess.
