Bethesda unleashes lawyers on Minecraft developer

Well I do hope they get laughed out of court. It sounds like they are taking a fat chance simply to see if they can get away with bullying.

In the meantime developers may want to exclude the words "Elder", "Scroll", "New", "Vegas", "The" and any form of those words (or any shapes and symbols that may be mistaken for those words) from game titles and game dialogue. Oh and don't forget to stop players from creating characters with names that contain those words, don't want Bethesda seizing your playerbase's characters now.

It recently game to our attention that you are working on a game called 'Scrolls'. Now, you seem an astute man, and while we respect your work making 'indie' games (lol, hipster) we feel it necessary to politely and maturely point out that 'Scrolls' will undoubtedly be confused for 'Elder Scrolls' and will obviously hurt our sales.

In fact, we are so intimidated by you making indie games that we have decided to sue you.
