Betrayer Announced - New FPS From The Creators Of FEAR.

Blackpowder Games, a team that is consisted of six of the key people behind F.E.A.R. and No One Lives Forever, has revealed its first project. Titled ‘Betrayer’, this new FPS promises to be an eerie single-player game that is set in haunted, early colonial-era Virginia. The game is planned for an August 14th release via Steam’s Early Access program, and you can find its debut trailer (thanks to PCGamer) as well as its first screenshots below. Enjoy!

Actually looks a little different, and only $15 on Steam.

That trailer strained my eyes more than playing DayZ with full gamma and brightness at night!

The art direction is questionable, for sure. I might have a slight headache just from watching that trailer. The game seems to borrow certain minor plot elements from F.E.A.R. like ghosts and so on. So F.E.A.R. meets Assassin's Creed III, maybe.

oh sheesh, i thought that was a promo poster, not the actual game. i wont be able to manage that for a whole game. the style could work, but needs some tuning for sure.

I'd like to see where this goes later in the production cycle. It looks like something I'd like to try out.
