hey guys,

just a quickie, after only installing BF3 last night (i know, a bit late, but work called :mad: ), i noticed that every time i join a new server iall my control settings go back to default?!!? if i'm on the same server and change it, it's cool until i leave that server and join a new one, this even happens in Co-Op!?

it's so irrating having to change all my settings everytime i change servers.

also, my Nvidia 560 TI - with latest drivers crashes every 5 m inutes in BF3, the only way to fix this is to throttle back my FACTORY overclocked card to a normal 560 .....WTF!!!!

yes it looks beautiful but this was OBVIOUSLY not made or designed for PC users AT ALL!

they say the PC was their primary platform.....BS they probably meant that they worked on mainly PCs when they made this....stupid Mofos!

did anyone who plays PC shooters actually work on this game?!?!?!?!


maybe i missed a fix or something, but does anyone have a solution for this??

I have non of the problems you have.

Been playing since friday. No crashes or settings going back to default.

Only thing they need to fix for me is the voice chat settings, that keeps going back to defaults.

Update bios... update driver... monitor for overheating. That's what I would do :)
 
Only thing i have had a problem with is the lag on the stupid servers. I have a 6mb line and i still get lag. That really irritates me. BTW this game was primarily made for PC. That is why the graphics are so good. Have you seen what it looks like on Xbox or PS3? Really looks bad compared to PC.
 
Nope only getting the uber lag. Or should I say the rubber banning back and forth. saved my live 5 time last night but the lag sucks

i meant it as a joke that they used PC as the main platform for development not for release, i know they made the game for PC, that's why it looks so good, but the things they have added and removed makes absolutely no sense!

- no ping/bar meter
- key bindings are a complete mess
- massive lag on large maps (the one's PC's use)
- in game chat window is just plain wierd?!?!
- option for squad selection only happened in launch day patch
- comma-rose also only in launch day patch too
- etc etc etc

didn't the same guys that worked on BC2 work on this??? seriously, they patched that game to work just right (except for the hit reg, that was fooked) with all the right PC specfic features and now it's like they just started from scratch and asked advice from console testers

R7 Patch should be coming to us today. It should sort out most of the problems and add brand new ones. Its like a lucky packet. Aren't you all so excited?

LOL I love these daily server side patches :D Always something new. Hopefully my load times will be shorter than 2 days now ;)

Shees I hope so, sitting 4 minutes in the loading screen aint my idea of fun.

I agree. The Loads take way too long. I have BF3 loaded on Corsair Force 3 SSD and that does not help shit cause it takes so long!
 
I'm not sure either... but I went from up to 3min loading to just a few seconds within the space of changing a few components and dirves.

I also updated punkbuster and nvidia drivers. Just to cover all my bases.

If you already have >6GB then it won't have much more effect... but I mean, R200 for 4GB (standard ram)... you can't lose.

Win! Got 4gb more ram last night and load times dropped from 2 mins to below 30 seconds! Anyone having issues with long load times, get more ram, 4gb doesn't cut it.

No it doesn't... win7 is a bit of a hog, add that to keeping your browser open (with plugins it gets to 300mb use quite easily) and you have a slowwww loading game.
 
My load times used to be quick, now it's getting longer. I wait like a minute or more for my map to load the first time, but the second time is really quick. WTF, that's really frustrating. Only started doing it after the last 2 patches.

Now I can never fly a chopper because it gets hogged to shit :(.
