BF3 multiplayer update help

So i still havent downloaded the 2gig update because im currently using a 3g modem... so i was wondering if it is possible to download the update from another pc, onto a memory stick and then apply it to my xbox...

do any of u guys know if this is possible...? please let me know.. :)
 
Bf3 for PC and console are completely different so i doubt you will be able to use the files from a PC for an Xbox.

i dont mean use the pc one.. i mean to download the xbox update onto a pc so i can apply it through a memory stick (to my xbox)
 
I've looked a bit and afaik there isn't a way to do this. It's an xbl marketplace download, and I think that those have to be done through the xbox. If you're planning on downloading it at work or someone else's house, you might need to take your xbox there to do the download

well thats shitty.. :/ but thanks anyway for checking.. i googled it before i asked n couldnt find anythin... but wasnt it poosible to download the xbox update last year onto a memory stick... i remember someone saying that they did that...? oh well...

Thought it was possible updating using a USB device the same way Wii can update.

Whats point of USB if theres no update support for people without a proper connection
 
You can download system updates to a memory stick but the marketplace largely serves paid content, as well as region restricted content, so I assume they make you download it straight to the console where you are signed in with the gamertag that you bought the content with, so that you can't buy something and sommer install it on all your friends consoles or make it available on the web. Ya, the update is free, but it's only available through the xbl marketplace. I don't think MS gives game devs other distribution options.

Unfortunately MS is an American company, so they don't even comprehend the average internet connections or lack thereof that we have in countries like ours. They are used to almost everyone having unlimited, actual broadband

Silver lakes, pretoria... But the Xbox I'm playing isn't mine.. I havent bought myself a new one yet so I can't just take it to a friends house to download... Seriously need to get me a Xbox..:/

Best is to take Xbox 360 to a friend with fast line to update it then
