BF3 Recommended Sys Req. = Medium Detail O_o

I think it's BS though!

It was stated before, by the guys from DICE, that if you can run BC2 on high, you should be fine. It was also stated that the game is running very nicely on a range of AMD and Nvidia cards, not just the top end ones. This is bullshit. Nvidia marketers are getting cocky.

R1000 says my gaming rig will run this without a hitch on Ultra settings.

Also he says
You will def be safe with dual 580's in SLI
So they expect you to have R10k's worth of GPU's to run their game on ultra settings? Also doesn't mention the resolution that you would be playing at to fully use those 2 580's ? Someone should inform them that most gamers play at 1920x1080..At the moment there is no game and I mean NO game that requires 2x 580's in sli at that resolution.

They should really get a proper hardware consultant at DICE/EA.

Hence myself believing this to be utter bs. :D I think my 580 will run this game just fine. Not to mention, I think my i7 will last me a looong time. This guy is on crack, trying to sell his shit all up in this place!

We'll all find out in a week won't we? I really dont want to upgrade, especially since my last upgrade was for BC2. :o

I will need an upgrade for BF3.

My pc want's to commit suicide just by paying the youtube videos of the game :/

I'm not too worried about graphics.. Il be happy even if I need2 play it on low.. I just Wana play this game...:)

Lol I can foresee my PC running like an A1 Abrahams engine attempting to run the thing at max specs whilst OCing the Shizuoka out of my components. Thank goodness I'm going to be investing in water cooling after rAge is done XD

I'm not going to panic just yet. I have two GTX580's in my machine. But the ONLY reason why I have that is to add some extra beef to my games when I run on my monitor's native resolution of 2560x1440. Having two GTX580's for a monitor with a max resolution of 1920x1080 is overkill - but see what it does when you bump up the resolution. That's why I had to get a second card.

I'm really hoping to run this game on high-ultra settings without issues, but it's becoming more and more of a question mark at this stage. We also need to keep in mind that it will be about 2 - 3 months after BF3 is released for all the graphics card manufacturers to release some proper drivers for the game as well. So even if your performance is slow at the very beginning, you could probably look forward to a 15% - 20% increase in performance as time goes on with new driver releases and game patches being released.

At the very least, DICE owe it to the community to deliver a game that at least looks as good as BFBC2 - even in medium detail. If your current PC can't handle BFBC2 on high settings now, then you don't really have grounds for complaining when you can't run medium settings on BF3.

That being said, I look forward to seeing that BF3 does to my machine. I've spent quite a lot of money on my current setup to enjoy this sort of game to it's maximum potential. I just hope that the strain it puts on any of our PCs is due to a very high quality graphics engine, and not due to sloppy programming as was the case with Crysis 1 and GTA: IV.

jeesh!!, 580's in sli - dream killer

Yeah, that is insane!!

Anyone on here with Crossfire 6850's? I'm getting a 2nd 6850 for this purpose and get mixed feelings about performance vs stability vs scaling and driver related factors.

Any comments on this will be appreciated.
