I think this may be people new to BF, hopefully they'll figure it out soon. I've had trouble getting people to give me ammo. I stand in front of a support guy, and keep pressing request ammo, but they just mission off. I think once more people get to know how the game works, it'll get better. It would help to play with some people you know, and you can chat to and actually ask for some ammo/health

You can unlock C4 and Mortar strikes with the support class. The engineer gets RPG's and AT mines

Much better to get some locals on your friends list and get a party chat going with your squad. The local guys that I've met seem to play their classes and play as a team much better than the random people you find online.
Again, might get better when the people new to BF get to know how it should be played

That would be nice, and it is possible that they try do that, but at the moment it seems like the servers are so full that it just puts you in wherever it can find a space for you. Maybe that'll get better once there are more servers and the just released rush dies down a little bit

You should be fine, I have the old arcade console, but with a 120GB HDD and installed no prob. I think it's just the 4GB console because the memory registers as flash memory instead of as a hard drive.

Oh dear so I will have to get a bigger drive for my X360 then. I've got the old Halo special edition console released a few years back but with 4GB drive :(

Will have to see if I can mod it or if I have to buy an official drive for the unit. Do they still sell the old drives ?

All valid points and I am leaning more and more towards friendlist games. Had Keepa in a few of my games last night, want to check if he had any lag.

All you add me on Battlelog and we will get a decent game going.
 
PS: Question to any admins about, would it be ok if I use the MyGaming logo as the emblem for our platoon?
 
Got a bit pissed with this during my matches this evening. Getting killed from Random locations, Spawn Killed enough times that I want to throw my controller. Im just not finding it... FUN. I'll stick with it but as a control I threw in Reach and jumped into its MP (which I havent played in about 6 months) and even though i still got killed I was enjoying myself more. I dunno maybe I just need some more time with it.

u def need more time with it, and the reason u got killed so much is because u were playing team deathmatch... and dieing happens alot in that, along with spawn camping... so id go with conquest on the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig maps.. :) coz thats fun.. il invite u to a big one next time we are both on.. :)

I only jumped into a TDM match coz I got fed up of the same shit happening in conquest.

I'll stick with it, let hope it grows on me.
 
I think BF does tend to have a fairly steep learning curve. It does get much better as you learn maps and unlock better kit and stuff.

I haven't had that much chance to play so far, but I got on a bit last night, and I spent a few rounds just flying around, trying to get the hang of the jets. They are a little tricky, but they look like they'll be lekker if I get the hang of them and upgrade them a bit. Only problem is I have to get some points with them to unlock flares so that I don't keep getting shot down the whole time, but I keep getting shot down...

The better kit is half the problem, with no skill system in place u have futz with l33t kit dominating ppl with just the starting equipment. I'm all for a steep learning curve, Halo MP has the same, it's the lack of, imo, balance between player skill levels that hurts the experience for me.

Very true. At least it gets better once you're the one with the kit. It's weird for me, I've had everything unlocked in BFBC2 for so long, and now I'm starting from the beginning again
 
must agree, being a halo nutter, this has been waaaaaay different. still im finding it enjoyable. played two guys this morning who got 40kills a piece and the were both on the same team. madness
