BF4 preorder for console - help!

Please can someone explain to me wtf is going on with BF4 preorders?

I've been reading for months on Battlelog and whatnot, that current BF3 premium members who preorder will get Bf4 premium. But how does that work?!

I've preordered with BTgames for the Xbox360, and my wife went there today and asked how premium was happening, as we'd rather preorder a premium copy of Bf4. The dude at the store apparently said there was no premium for bf4, and she should go for the Deluxe edition? She took his advice and changed our preorders.

Now wtf is going on here? What have I preordered, and will I end up getting premium or what?

As far as i know,preordering only gives you the base game and the china rising dlc.

On another note,why did you buy it for one of the old consoles?

Wouldn't it be better to get one of the next gen consoles or a PC?

I'm not gonna get a next gen console right away unfortunately. Plus my current PC struggles with BF3 so I'm not keen on that, lol

Guy, I'm not sure were you have been getting your information over the last few months, but that's definitely not going to happen.
- BF3 players with Premium membership will get access to the BF4 beta. This is confirmed. I can confirm it as I have access to the beta.
- BF4 will have a premium plan, just like BF3, but they are not linked. It has never been said that BF3 players with Premium will get BF4 Premium.
- Pre-orders of BF4 will get access to China Rising (the first DLC and also a part of the Premium offering, but the whole Premium package is separate).
- The BF4 Deluxe edition has a few extras that the standard edition does not have. I can't remember off-hand what these are but they are things like skins and other such crap.

lol,guess money is tight in these times.

Well on the topic,EA usually change their promises mid way through.

I got a bid fed up when they changed the BF3 premium description (there were supposed to weapons with each expansion)

Ah...I obviously misunderstood.

Pre-ordering the Standard Edition will grant you a Premium Expansion pack once it becomes available after the Battlefield 4 launch. The Standard Edition will be available on PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, and PlayStation 4.

That is obviously just China Rising, not actual premium.

I never understand the devs who openly market that they are gonna give DLC out for free as an added perk for pre-ordering - why not put it inot the main game then?

Or are you gonna use the Capcom excuse and say guys it wasn't finished when we wanted to ship that is why it is locked on disc. . .

Just checked the wiki page the expansion was added less than 2 months after the release with the second expansion released 6 months after that, now my question is why would the second one take so long??

It probably works the same as premium,you get the code for China Rising and then get the DLC once it's released.

There is no excuse if it's released the same day as BF4 though.
