Here are a few things ppl might not know about bfbc2.

Shotguns can shoot as far as sniper rifles if they have the 12-gauge + magnum ammo

The smoke grenade from the under barrel grenade launcher of an assault class weapon can take away all tracer darts that are in the radius of the smoke (if you riding in a black hawk on the 4 or 5 seat u can use the smoke launcher to disable the tracer dart if it's traced) I found this one out

Shooting an enemy mine or c4 with a weak weapon changes it's ownership to you (might have been removed in the recent patch) Senticall gets credit for this one

The M95 sniper rifle is the only sniper rifle that can damage a chopper and light vehicles

tanks are strongest at the front, weaker at the sides and the even weaker at the back and (weakest on the turret Credit goes to Skyrambo) so make sure to shoot it's turret if you have a clear shot to with your rpg (also if your in a tank battle with another tank, turn your front to them so you receive less damage and try to shoot at their sides or turret to give extra damage)

The anti-air tank should never be used for frontal assault and should be kept at the back of the main forces so it can deal with pesky helicopters and still have the opportunity to be repaired by friendlies.

All automatic guns should be fired in bursts and you should always try to aim at the enemies head to get a faster kill.

body armor grands the soldier double the damage threshold to the body but the head is unprotected

the sniper 12x scope is rather useless (unless you want to shoot REALLY long range),you should rather use the extra ammo add-on.

magnum ammo increases damage, decreases bullet drop and increases penetration (how much damage your shot does after it goes through an object)

a sniper should never sit in one place for too long.

if you are tying to take down a chopper with countermeasures, shoot it with your tracer gun, then reload. Lock on with your RPG, but don't fire. When he drops flares, shoot him with the tracer again and then kill him. There isn't enough time for the countermeasures to recharge then credit goes to Skyrambo

when someone is using the mounted machine gun and u cant kill him through the shield , aim at his feet u can kill him that way. Credit goes to postal

Mcom stations that are in a building can be taken out by collapsed the building its in. Credit to postal

Q key on the keyboard is used for spotting and asking other players for a health, ammo and rides etc. Spot all the damn time (spot first, kill later.you still get points even if you didn't kill him) credit goes to postal

When shooting down a chopper with the M2 CARL GUSTAV AT Aim for just below the rotter and about a 3/4spacebar in length in front of it if the chopper does not change altitude the whole time. Also greatly depends where you stand if it flown over your head you got to shoot for the nose or just in front of it. Credit goes to Crzwaco

Do not revive friendlies if there are enemies shooting at you.

reviving a team mate gives your team the ticket back that you lost when he died.(the more tickets your team has the longer your team can stay in the game)

always revive a your team mate AFTER a gunfight with enemy soldiers.

give ammo and medic kits to your team mates that need it (there will be a flashing icon on the left side of their health bar) also drop ammo and medic kits on key cover locations so that your team can still get ammo and health even when your not nearby or dead.

With the explosives Damage upgrade,a mortar is able to destroy a tank with 1 barrage (or at least leave it heavily damaged),if the tank isn't moving and not expecting it. Senticall

Motion mines. If your playing recon kit, use your damn motion mines. Even if it's a hardcore map. On normal mode it obviously shows enemies on the mini map and makes beep noises. On hardcore it only makes beeps but won't show up on the mini map since you don't have one on hardcore. But if u open the map, default "M" you can then see where they are in hardcore mode. Credit goes to DenSweeP

tanks are strongest at the front, weaker at the sides and the weakest at the back so make sure to shoot it's backside if you have a clear shot to with your rpg (also if your in a tank battle with another tank, turn your front to them so you receive less damage and try to shoot at their sides to give extra damage)

Tanks take the most damage on their turret. Even more than at the back.

The x12 scope is amazing, I love it! When you get used to it, there's nothing better!

As for the smoke stuff, vehicle smoke can be used for countermeasures in tanks as well, not just choppers. Thanks for the tip about the smoke grenades, that's going to come in quite handy!

Just another tip- if you are tying to take down a chopper with countermeasures, shoot it with your tracer gun, then reload. Lock on with your RPG, but dont fire. When he drops flares, shoot him with the tracer again and then kill him. There isn't enough time for the countermeasures to recharge then :D

I see alot of people not doing this, so i thought maybe it well help somebody out there

1) when someone is using the mounted machine gun and u cant kill him through the shield , aim at his feet u can kill him that way.
2) xcom can be taken out by blowing up the building its in.
3) Q is used for spotting and ask players for a health, ammo and rides etc. Spot all the damn time ( i normal spot 1st then shoot as if i dont get a the kill i get points for spotting)

I like the C4/mines trick. Will check it out.

The smoke grenade thing also nifty.

Most of the rest though should really be obvious and known to all players who have played more than a couple of hours. For newbs, this is a pretty useful guide though. Good work here.

Now I just wish some of the veterans would actually follow the advice here. I mean, I'm bleeding or out of ammo, how fucking difficult is it to press "4" and left click?

I have shot down 8 choppers on the one map where they have 2 choppers an trying to destroy stuff on that small isle.

I don't understand some people....I mean, when I see someone needs ammo I always stop and give to them.. As you say, it's really not that hard.. same with the medics.. I always have to shoot them first so they drop one for themselves ha ha!

I ask nicely once or twice. If you ignore me, then I kill you, take what I want and then take back my kit. Really doesn't bother me then if you being a asshole. Also freaks me out is if you play medic and you see teamies get wasted, use the fucking defibs!!!

What is kak classic is when I TK a medic for not reviving, you discover he hasn't unlocked the paddles yet. :o

Hahaha yeah that reminds me of a funny moments yesterday when playing with Gankster. A medic near him didn't give him a kit and he was freaking out at the guy "GIVE ME A MEDKIT!!". The guy just violently shook his head as if to say "No! Don't have it!" :D

I really play recon, but when I did I noticed you get points from your motion mines when somebody else kills the person. There an incentive, you get points when you use the motion mines.

You get incentive for any team based move. If you're a team player, you get more points :D. It's either that or kill many, many people :p

You also get point for tracing a vehicle and if that vehicle gets destroyed, you get a vehicle kill assist and a vehicle tracer damage assist. So you can get points by just tracing vehicles, even if you are not an engineer, destroying them yourself.

Heres another tip, when flying in a helicopter, try not to bail while the heli is moving down or turning,it results in a teamkill for the driver :/
