Definitely servers around for this. IS, WAGE and iGame have various servers online. Is it worth it? I would say so, but I generally do not play it often, not my style of game play. But all in all, I had more fun in Vietnam than playing vanilla. Perhaps SkyRambo and other BFBC2 fans can fill you in?
 
I don't see one under the iGame forum? Nor on SGS's gaming site... maybe i am mistaken? :\

I enjoyed battlefield vietnam immensely, so BFBC2 Vietnam may be just my thing. I just can't stand lag.
 
I didn't bother getting Vietnam.
Really there is nothing wrong or missing in the regular Bad Company 2.

More maps and classes and weapons would be cool, but I'm not much for historic shooters anymore.
 
BC2 Vietnam is awesome! In my humble opinion, much better than vanilla BC2. Unfortunately, the servers are pretty much dead :( You might get 2 or 3 games a week if you're lucky.
