Biggest South African video gaming websites

International traffic

So LG has 237.057 more visitors yet only 189.547 more page views does that mean MYG readers find more interesting stuff here?

Those mweb game zone stats, are they because of articles on their website or is that also measuring connections to their gaming servers?

Pretty interesting to see, but would like to see a more comprehensive list with the likes of eGamer, and DoGaming etc...

On the + side, MyGaming going from strength to strength ;)

We'd love to see that as well - unfortunately they're not signed up with Effective Measure, so their stats are unknown and, even if they were known, they would not be directly comparable.

pretty fairly laid out stats, so can't see any reason for anybody to complain. i really hope that MG and LG resolve this bad blood. We want to have a united gaming community in SA and it will be sad to see the 2 biggest sites at loggerheads :-(

From our side, there is no "bad blood" - if Gavin wants to say otherwise, that's his prerogative.

I'm actually quite exasperated by the whole argument from yesterday for a number of reasons; it's clearly a pointless waste of time, so I won't be engaging in future.

This is what I find strange though, where is this perceived bad blood coming from? I've never really seen anything from MyGaming's side that would suggest anything of the like. From what I can tell both sites have their own readership that barely overlaps. The only evidence I've seen of this bad blood is a few unnecessary pot shots from the Lazygamer side. It honestly baffles me. In any case I just want the gaming fight club to happen, that is all :p

I must be honest I don't visit any Sa sites very often I usually go to Eurogamer they are the Best site In the world just my opinion though.

Check out polygon.com, they're sister site to theverge.com

Polygon probably ranks as the best international gaming site in my books. They're really diverse in what they offer, they have numerous video segments and "shows", and I love their reviews and they have, by far, the best features (the website design and overlay is another to marvel at). They really go out of the way to give the best content and news coverage :D and ultimately I guess they have the resources and funding for what they offer.

I remember this site. I bookmarked the reviews to the PS4 and Xbox One. I just kept the pages open to see how the site works.

Polygon is often accused of being a Microsoft mouthpiece because they received startup funding from them, but I don't know how true that is. Plus the one editor has caused a stir for his comments (I forget his name). Seems industry in-fighting happens everywhere :P
