yup, i agree. i have found that Eurogamer views and reviews tend to be much more closely aligned to my (SA) bias, as opposed to the very US-centric IGN and Gamespot.

That's correct they have no platform bias and are the only site I trust on reviews.Dont go to Polygon ever lol and also give Kotaku the miss second worst website.

I'll admit I haven't paid much attention to their Xbox One or PS4 coverage (or much of their MS and Sony stuff). Those features, man, those features!!! The video segments like Today I played, Friends List, Cooperatives, Speed Run. I also generally tend to agree with a lot of their game reviews (they got me playing Fall of Cybertron
)Polygon is often accused of being a Microsoft mouthpiece because they received startup funding from them, but I don't know how true that is. Plus the one editor has caused a stir for his comments (I forget his name). Seems industry in-fighting happens everywhere

You are 100-cement right there. Their features are amazing. I love Polygon's website and their feature articles. A lot of fun to read and it does help that it is one of the best looking websites out there. In fact, I think you were the one who pointed me in their direction almost a year ago.

Zombiegamer is ok. Haven't been to their site for a while, but they are very involved with local e-sports/get togethers AFAIK.
I think they host a weekly thing at Trenchtown in Obz with 2upGamers.

Since November 2011, they did a 'thing' at a 'place' once a month
A bunch of CT based guys started this social get together to get all CT gamers into one place. It started out pretty small (I think about 10 people), up to about over 200.
The social included mini tournaments (hosted by Mweb and/or Zombiegamer), talkers, prize giveaways and cherry on the top, FREE PIZZA!
Some time last year I think they split the social and competitive parts of the event. The social get together is yet to happen again this year, the competitive side takes place at what appears to be a restaurant called Trenchtown, in Observatory in Cape Town.
