Biker PC transportation?

Was just thinking, I can't be the only biker in the gaming community...

How do other bikers do it? I need to know. It's always a mission to get my PC to a lan. I have to get people to come pick it up. There has to be a solution? Big back pack? :/

Anyone else suffering from incompatible personality traits of being both a biker and gamer?

Well what I used to do is this.

First off I bought a lanpack (Straps that go around your case for easy carrying and then I'd put a plastic bag around it and strap it on me... thing was though I had a small case just for lans and the screen I did the same with. But I'd only do that if I knew no-one was going to help me lift it. Last resort as always.

I hate saying this but after getting a car... it's much easier to transport things.

I usually bum a lift. Carrying all that weight with awkward bags, while trying to keep 2 wheels on the ground doesn't sound like fun. Being a biker, at some stage you will drop the bike and a few k worth of PC with it

Sigh. I was afraid of these results. I live in the sticks and people don't like driving all the way to my place unless i'm having the lan :/ And I detest cars on principle; they are heavy and a waste of energy/petrol, can't get through traffic, have no soul, are boxes on wheels

That all said, I must admit that while my mum has been away, I have been using her car.... and it is quite warmer than going on my bike and arriving at my destination with first stage frostbite..."whistling: Now i kinda feel guilty. like i have betrayed my bike "whistling:

The only solution is to get a gaming laptop! :D and if you're confused about the costs.. weight it against the cost of buying a car! done and done lol

Oh dear god. You speak such sense. I just never thought to compare the extra costs to that of getting a car :O i've just always had a pc. But I do much prefer having a pc too. but I can have both if I save up long enough :) :D can't believe I never justified the cost of a Gaming laptop by comparing it to a car...

There is no safe way in my opinion of transporting your PC and your screen and your bag with accesories in my opinion. You are asking for shit. You are risking your life and your PC. And by risking your PC, I don't just refer to falling, but also simple vibration damage. Do NOT underestimate it and if you have a notebook, make sure when it's in the backpack and you are seated that the bottom of the bag doesn't rest on the seat either. I'm a biker myself, but luckily my wife normally drops me off at LANs when needed or I bum a lift.

Your wife drops you off at lans? My girlfriend dumps me for them :/ :wtf:

Either way, I totalled my bike this weekend against a curb while my girlfriend was distracting me from the car which was in convoy. I found the quickest way from 90km/h to 0km/h. Wasn't fun.
