Those looking to enjoy the multiplayer component should skip this patch as it introduces a new MP bug. Those busy on the single player component would be well advised to update, as I found that a number of bugs had a negative impact on my enjoyment of the game.

I got a fairly big Bioshock 2 patch a day or two after release, it may have been this one.

Anyway, I finished the game pretty quickly and only encountered one map bug that caused me to get stuck in geometry.

I have had a 360 for quite some time now and recently acquired a PS3, they are both clearly immune to bugs and their resulting patches...

Most patches are delivered to all platforms, it just happens this specific one was to address issues with the PC platform.

I buy PS3, XBOX360 and PC games all the time...so far the most amount of "updates" are on the console games. I do think that console games ARE more stable at launch and may be more polished before release unlike most PC games these days.
