BioWare bans SWTOR player for meme post

Was the person who was banned actually under 13? Coz if he/she/it was then I guess its a legit ban.

Well, EA does own Bioware, and EA is known for banning people's accounts for absolute nonsense reasons.

My guess is this person probably isn't even going to be allowed a chance for appeal.
 
People are so quick to ban hammer people these days. But I guess people are getting more dodge lately ;p

They could have at least asked him to prove his age before banning.
 
Yes, I grasped that ...... the meme is what contains the 12yo reference and they assumed the poster was 12, that's why I said it's pathetic.

not really,but i guess its sort of justifiable on there part,if you are unaware of the meme and some says they are a certain age ,are you going to be like are you really that age or is this a joke...plus its not like they could confirm it ,if it was a 12 year old he would be using his parents details anyway

You should be able say whatever you want on the forums as long as it's in the rules. SAYING you're 12 and being 12 is different. You can say you are a real life Wookie, should Bioware ban you coz they only permit human players?

its not right nor do i approve but if you say you are somthing thats aginst there rules they shoud take some action,its like if walk into the white house and say im going to blow it up ,do you think they are going to bother with anything other then insta kill...in this situation its overkill but it was there rules,they should allow him to overturn the ban if he can suffiactly prove hes not a kid,but i doubt they would,well that was untill it went public now he will probably get his account back

Did you really just equate saying "I'm 12" on a forum to a suicide bomb threat...

It would have been easy enough for the mods to message the person and mention the rules and ask if he is indeed 12 rather than just banning him based on some random forum comment.
 
Weird thing to be banned for so I can say playfully pretend that I act like a 12 year old and they will think I am 12
