Bitco for gaming

Meh, although speeds are excellent and I manage to download a shit ton... Almost the only game I play online is Counter Strike GO, and Bitco has been unable to resolve packet loss issues I get ingame since day one, their customer service is horrible to say the least.

If you have bought the equipement and not on a contract.
Consider Level-7, I was looking at bitco but got pushed to Level-7.

The dudes that work there all are on steam, if you have an issue you dont have to phone, just message and they will remote in and sort out issues. Though I cant say the performance is going to be the greatest, however I can still play dota and CS, but CS does have rubber banding.

On contract and using their equipment, I have both Mike and Garth on skype, they were quite helpful a few times, but the problem was never solved and they soon just started ignoring me which let me to belief there is no solution... That rubber banding effect is the packet loss in action, from the sounds of it, its caused by radio interference on their high sites, and there's nothing they can do about it, they can change the frequency, which would minimize this effect, but then a few weeks down the line it gets worse again

Yeah its a kak one I agree. But tbh I came from 3G and Iburst so won't complain.

Are there any other wireless providers other than Bitco?

I have mate who has been having utter crap with them and looking for an alternative. He lives in the Midrand area.

yes the rubber-band on CS GO is bad unfortunately, how ever the downloads and other games are excellent. :) im using the 5Mbps package too.

Yeah, extremely terrible packet loss. Some times I can barely hear him over TeamSpeak.

Yeah I also only get packet loss in in CSGO, probably do to in other games, but only notice it in CSGO, other than that I'm not to unhappy with them, but yeah saw a few guys over at mybroadband also complain about packetloss, so its seems to be the norm... But I haven't experienced it as bad as BeoTeK 's friend

I've been looking at Bitco a lot over the last month, there are 2 things that really bother me.

1. Their customer service is shocking, that alone is a big no no...seeing as its already a bitch dealing with Telkom. I've seen guys just get ignored, emails and messages don't get replies ect.

2. The packet loss, if you play any form of fast paced multiplayer fps games you can skip them completely, even small amounts of packet loss drives me insane.

So glad I'm not alone(Not that Im glad you get packetloss:p), over at mybroadband 99.9% only praise them for their "amazing" internet, and when I complain on there to one of the reps they treat me in a manner that the problem must be on my end... The typical response I get when logging an issue with them is "Are you sure you weren't running downloads whilst gaming"

Also using Bitco. I experience 1% packet loss when I ping their DNS server. I know it is not much but it is affecting games.

Best of all is they pretty much refuse to acknowledge the fact that there is a problem, the problem is always on "my side"... My personal opinion is they should not advertise their packages for gaming... Other than that the internet is pretty decent for anything else

Mine support query have been escalated 3 times already. Now I'm waiting for a response since the 3rd escalation. I've told them I've tested it on multiple routers, with/without LAN cable, different operating systems...

If you're downloading at 600KB/s on n 5mb line and playing games you'll surely feel it ingame.

But thats not the point though, I get packet loss while nothing else is using the internet
