Bitco for gaming

Hey dude,

Do you mind if I ask which area you're in? I moved into a new development in Oakdene and it's been an endless hassle to get Telkom to install a line. It's also on a high-lying area, but it seems like BitCo is one of the few options available to me for now...

Bodhi I'm with Mike here. I'd also like to know what area you are in. It would suck if we are in the same area and experience the same problems,

Centurion... Heuwelsig Estate to be exact

Well, all my documents have been sent in. Hopefully everything is alright and then they can let me know when they will attempt the install. I really hope that I've got line of sight and that everything works well. Because that XBox One is coming and LTE isn't going to cut it.

Just an update. My BitCo link was activated yesterday. It's great for browsing and downloading and Youtube and such. But it sucks for gaming.

In Forza 5 it tells me: Weak network detected.

I also experienced a small amount of packet loss last night whereas this morning it was fine. It looks like the tower is congested. Especially after talking to other guys in my area.

So, it's great for normal internet use but for gaming, look elsewhere.

I figured as much. Joys of a wireless service...

Unfortunately for some reason I also can't remote desktop to a UK server. It connects but is too slow to be able to do anything. Local servers work fine though and the UK server works fine over 3G.
