Black Mesa Source

Just started downloading. It's really cool that it's releasing now as I bought and started playing Half-Life 2 about a week ago and I put that on hold when I heard Black Mesa is coming out. Can't wait.

EDIT: It doesn't wanna download for me. Nothing happens. Will try again later

From FB:
Max Schaefer Direct download links off my seedbox (may be slow due to torrent being seeded):
http://www.openmirror.in/BlackMesa/BlackMesa-Setup.exe
http://www.openmirror.in/BlackMesa/BlackMesa.7z
http://www.openmirror.in/Black_Mesa_Soundtrack.zip

Direct download links off a spare server (from ramdisk, should be very fast!):
http://vm.egi.excloo.net/BlackMesa-Setup.exe
http://vm.egi.excloo.net/BlackMesa.7z
http://vm.egi.excloo.net/Black_Mesa_Soundtrack.zip

Note: I recommend using a download manager such as DownThemAll to download it, I can pull 1 MB/s easily if I use one!
Also, both servers are unmetered at 1 Gbps but server two should be faster due to the removal of the disk bottleneck as it serves from RAM ;)

Not sure how fast, torrent is inbound in my "other" box ;)

Hmm, thinking of getting it overnight. Thing is, I just played HL1 the other day so it might be too soon for another (although better go). I wonder when the steam release will be, might be worth waiting for that.

Finally got it to download, but it's fluctuating between 20 & 50 kbps the whole time. As long as it doesn't fail, I can wait.

I'm hitting it through the official torrent found on the Black Mesa website. Getting a solid 100Kbps+ now.

Can't wait to play!

Will wait for Steam. Now that greenlight has been pushed through I'm not all that bothered about it...will get to it eventually. ;) Still got 2x dozen epic games waiting in my Steam lib.

Busy Installing.

EDIT. I downloaded the torrent with steam closed. After installing it automatically launches Steam then the game itself, also adds itself to your steam library!

Downloaded it overnight using the official torrent, then I realized this morning I should probably get the Source SDK 2007 installed - another 2.8 gigs haha

Played until about 1 hour past resonance cascade and loved it.

Usually playing old games for nostalgia kinda sucks cos you realise they haven't aged well, but this gives that nostalgia dose while being sufficiently modern and improved. It's kind of like how you remember the game in your mind's eye.

Could not have said it better myself!

Here is a local download link for anyone who needs it.

Haven't played it yet, looks awesome though, busy downloading it now.
