Black Ops MP thoughts?

Seeing as though the PC forum has one I think the consoles should have one. So what are your thoughts on Black Ops' MP so far?

I for one love it! I love the inclusion of CoD points, now I don't have to go through all the attachments just to get the one I want :D I think the feel of BO is a lot better than MW2 as well, it feels more... gritty. I also love the fact that everyone is a low rank! So for the first few we days we don't have campers!!! Or those guys that cheat and go to impossible places on the map and then camp (a.k.a Highrise in MW2). I also like the fact that you can put emblems on your weapons! Awesome feature! And then lastly I like the little "news" notification in at the bottom of the screen that tells you what your friends have been up to as well as interesting stats. Anywho that what I think about BO. You turn :)
 
I absolutely LOVE it! It is simply awesome. I played for about 3 hours straight last night with Devdj, we had such a jol.

Even though we were playing with internationals the lag is almost not noticeable and we were chatting.

There is no waiting for games, I was in a game within not even 2 minutes of searching unlike MW2.

Overall it rocks! :D
 
Oh yeah I forgot to mention the matchmaking times! They are awesome in BO I always thought that BFBC2 had the best matchmaking service but then BO came along and wow! Blew 'em out of the water. It only took me 30secs (I timed :p) to find my first match!

So it would seem once again the console experience is the better for its simplicity.

Lol, this is the biggest reason why I migrated from a PC to a console. The PC version of most games are just damn to buggy to play most of the time and then you always have to worry about if its compatible with you specs and the list goes on and on and on...

Thats the same reason Spoonerson and I left PC and went console all the way.
 
Totally Omega, this is just another nail in the PC coffin I am afraid.

Its not only for its simplicity but for a whole lot of other reasons.

No Frame rate issues, the game runs so smooth.

Even with a average ping the MP is more than playable, I got on a roll and was top 3 for almost all my games.

Not to mention I was chatting to devdj at the same time.

Personally I think this release is a slap in the face for PC users. No prestige or hardened edition, crap lag, crap performance, huge patches. It is ridiculous.

You will always have the die-hard pc guyz who refuse to budge on principle all the while bemoaning the fact that is all the "Casuals" & Console fault.

I dont think dying is the correct term. Its going to become a niche market, it kinda already is. Apps like steam will keep PC Gaming alive and there will always be titles that will simply be better on PC, RTS, classic RPG's, but the majority of gaming is going to take place on Consoles and mobile devices. There are simply more people who will play on their ipones or Smartphones than there is who will be willing to tweak the pc to make it play the game. But i dont think it will Die like the game cube died.

Same here and I have no regrets :).
 
It is sad, I just upgraded my PC which was probably a dumb idea.

I used to be a die hard PC fan. You just need to play a few games on console to realise that a gaming PC is in fact a waste of money.

I noticed that too! It took me, like, 20 seconds to find and join a match. \:D/
