So after a week of waiting to instal this I did and then I cant get into any MP games tried to play SP but that just doesnt start ,anyone got any solutions I have doen the usual re instslled DX and changed down resolutions

You are so totally not alone.

My screen went black and did nothing as well so I did a clean install of the whole game.

After you do get it to start, you have an awesome FPS lag to contend with. Think 20fps at 800x600 on low.

Sorry I can't be more helpful, but this game is riddled with stupid issues that Treyarch is apparently working on. 2 patches so far haven't fixed anything.
Manual fiddling with the config has produced a net result of bugger all.
Pathetic so say the least.

Are you serious .....FU@* Me

So if I understand you did get the Single player to start yes

Unfortunately I am....
But yes I got SP to work. Reinstall the game again, verify the files and defrag them.
Then you can join us in the mind bending puzzle.

And whats with the MP I cant seem to connect to any game ,is that related or are you unabel to join as well

btw Defrag the files ??

I've had no probs getting to MP games, not that its worth it at the moment anyway. Some people say it's smooth others are struggling.

To defrag right click BO in steam, properties, local files, defragment cache files.

EDIT

Scratch that. Now I am.

Well I did what you said Murph thanks SP works now

MP had a few games but the Server disconnects from time to time.

Oh. I was going to suggest deleting the .exe files and verifing your game cache. That normally works for me.

Oh and BTW, the patch has fixed the lag. I played and finished the SP campaign on yesterday. Was awesome!

Sadly, I suspect that the majority of issues being experienced here are attributable to Steam not being able to handle the massive demand. Remember, this was the 1st weekend since release and I think massive amounts of people tried to play and the servers simply could not handle the load.

I can understand using steam as a digital distributor, but FFS, stop using them to authenticate games etc. It is so stupid. If Steam is down, then we can't play. I don't understand Activisions' reasoning behind this. It's almost as if they are trying desperately to show us how little they care about their customers. I would've said fans, but other than Bobby's mother, I don't think they have anymore fans, only customers. Look at the fiasco that was MW2. And now this. Yeah, it might be the biggest selling franchise of all time and blah blah blah, but that's only because of the customers and sooner or later they are gonna wake up and realise that they are being shafted time after time.

As for struggling with the SP, sorry can't help you there. Only issue I had was Steams' insistence on trying to download the game, despite me having the fucking disc in my PC!!! Again, Steam being a pain in the arse. EVentually closed Steam, closed steamwatch and retried installing and it worked fine.

I think it's very unfair that you guys all paid R500 for this game and it's giving so many hassles...Unacceptable, really. I'm glad I haven't bought it yet. I really hope they sort all these bugs and crap out because it does look like a great game, but this...

This is super disappointing.. :(

I have not had any problems since buying the game on release day. even before the patch. i only had to drop the AA to x4 on full graphics 1920x1080 from x16. Now i am running everything on full with AA x16. Not much lag even in MP. I guess i am one of the lucky ones. I Love the game.
