Blacks should be preferred over whites for jobs: Cosatu

What I find hilarious about this particular article is that Cosatu is viewing it as some sort of victory for blacks when the entire court-case was based around national vs regional equity targets, thereby resulting in coloureds getting passed over for blacks when it came to promotions.

Nowhere was this a black vs white thing, but of course, Cosatu needs to poke a stick at Cape Town and shout at the city because it's too white for their liking.

Just - really - they somehow missed the entire point of this case.

Lol, I think they just saw inequality in promotions and said "I'll throw in my 2c". They forgot the part where black people should have their proportion lowered in favour of coloureds. Then again when was the last time that a union did actual research to the shit they say.
