Blizzard: Diablo III is almost done

The best place to pre-order Diablo III is not to pre-order Diablo III at all!

Sorry I just can't seem to get excited for this game as Craptivision Blizzard are the worst companies on the planet imo. They bleed you dry for every sent you have.

I was excited up until Starcraft 2 came out. The reason being that I really don't see the need to buy the game 3 TIMES to actually play it from start to finish...

I will live in the past and just play Diablo and Diablo II, when Blizzard was actually a great developer and not the greed fest it has become lately.

There's this whole South Korea delaying the global release further debacle currently going on because they refuse to rate the game.

Wonder if one can actually make a decent amount of money through the auction house? Have to play the game on the hardest difficulty to get those rare items though.

Out of interest, did you then buy/play SC2's single player? I'm asking, because I found it to be a great SP, carrying a complete story, with much more play time than every FPS I've played since HL2; I got around 10-12 hours of playtime on my first playthrough, so I wouldn't really consider it only part of a game.

I bought SC2 the first one, because Terran is my fave race. Then also, I can play online from day one.

There are *OTHER* ways to play race 2 and 3 without having to pay, although I don't recommend it :)

I actually did play it, but it wasn't all that fun for me. I don't know, it is hard for me to get excited about games these days. And it is part of a game, one third to be exact, RTS games usually drop(ped) with ALL campaigns in the game (am I the only one that remembers RTS games like this?) and the play time should be around 10 - 12 hours for each campaign. So yeah still only part of a game and you had to pay about R450 - R500 for it...

So to play Starcraft II the FULL game you are going to fork out R1,200 - R1,500 in total... Some serious cash for ONE game.

It's not really fair, IMO, to compare SC2 to the way games were released long ago.. The norm has shifted long before SC2 came along. Also, I think you might be romanticising the length of these games, I seem to remember Red Alert being around 10-12 hours in total (both campaigns) and Warcraft 3 closer to 3-4 hours per campaign. That said, not being a big RTS fan, I might be selectively remembering those.. :) Bottom line, though, I found SC2 to be a solid and complete stand alone game, and well worth the money, and I guess that's where our opinions differ most. :p
