Blizzard was joking - they want high expectations for Diablo III

It got people talking about D3 so, to my mind, that means it did what it was intended to do. Generate a buzz around D3 again. Of course they now have to do the required "We were Kidding *troll* *troll*" to stop the fanboys from revolting and go on city wide rampages.

First though that popped into my mind when the other news article went up.

Yeah, defintely troll marketing/PR. Which in my mind is a horrible strategy.

Anything that generates interests, positive or negative, in your title is a good thing. History has shown us no matter how hard people rant 90% of them will still go out and buy it, COD has been skating by on negative publicity for years.
 
Remember, advertising motto is "any publicity is good publicity". Still the joke was lame, it was not funny no matter what way you cut it...
