Blogger's Code of Conduct

OmegaFenix

The Legendary Troll Hunter
Was browsing Wikipedia reading about the history of Blogging and all this when I came across this Gem and thought this is something that can be adopted by Forum Users also:

  1. Take responsibility not just for your own words, but for the comments you allow on your blog.
  2. Label your tolerance level for abusive comments.
  3. Consider eliminating anonymous comments.
  4. Ignore the trolls.
  5. Take the conversation offline, and talk directly, or find an intermediary who can do so.
  6. If you know someone who is behaving badly, tell them so.
  7. Don't say anything online that you wouldn't say in person.

I think everyone should stick to this especially. That should cut some of the abusive commentary as well. Anonymity makes people brave.

hehe too true. Although I personally think I would be able to say most of what I post to someones face.

The bloggers Code of Conduct is in direct violation of the Internet Users Code of Conduct, which is to inspire as much controversy as humanly possible.
