Most of the night yeah. It's fucking awesome man. Tough as nails. The only progress I made is buying new clothes, lol. Gonna try kill the first boss tonight after work.

i was tempted to head off to a CNA and see if i could score a copy, but my PS4 is only due to arrive late next week so no major rush :(

CNA ? was it on the shelf, or did you have to ask for it ?
 
I even asked my CNA and they said they don't have it. BUt that's no surprise with me being in an outlaying area, they normally only get the stock the day before or on the day of release.

Got it from Toys R Us. It wasn't on the shelf, so I just asked for it.
The guy went to the back and got me a copy. No questions asked.

Don't worry guys the wait is gonna be so worth it. The game is bloody awesome!

Yeah just took down the Cleric Beast. Had some practice in the alpha test though.
Didn't realize that you can only start leveling up once you defeat it.

Still waiting for the patch to finish downloading.

Awesome. I almost had him yesterday but then he jumped on me. My patch was done just I decided to call it a night.
 
how does the checkpoint/bonfire system work in this game ? Is there fast travel between them ? do enemies respawn if you use them ?

It has lanterns which are basically like bonfires in DS. I don't think you can fast travel betwern them but you can choose anyone to travel to from the hub world, works more like Demon's Souls than Dark Souls. I only have 2 lantern spots so far so things might change later on. I don't think you can rest though, haven't tried yet so I might be wrong

Enemies do respawn though, unfortunately, lol.
