Also read about a bug now which blocks progress. To avoid getting the bug they say you shouldn't summon or invade anyone in the forbidden woods area. From is aware of the issue and working on a hot fix. There goes my plan of summoning some help...

EDIT 2: Tried the boss 2 more times and couldn't make it past the 30 second mark. I think I might have to wait for that hotfix if I wanna get past this boss.

EDIT 3: Decided to give the boss one last go before calling it a night. Almost had it, but got killed in the end. At least I have somewhat of a strategy in mind now, will try again tomorrow night if I get a chance to play. You can check out my failed attempt here if you are interested.

Yeah the boss in the woods is pretty crazy. I can kill the magic dude pretty easily with hit and run tactics. But the other two then get those attacks which can hit you half way across the map...

I ran out of heals eventually :(.


The forbidden woods is a great to place farm blood echoes though.

Yeah, if you watch the video I posted you'll see I take out the mage fairly easily as well and also manage to take out the guy with the flaming sword and candle, but as soon as that last guy with the sword starts summoning those giant snakes the whole fight goes to shit.


Not farming in the forgotten woods thank you very much. Once Im done with the boss I'm never going back there unless I absolutely have to. Hate that place. [emoji14]

My favourite farming spot so far is in Charnel Hemwick Lane (or something like that). If you spawn at the boss lantern and make your way back to the starting area fighting those brutea and dogs you can make about 11000 in 2 minutes or so.

Managed to take down the Shadow of Yharnam boss :D. Had some very close calls though.

well it didn't take me long to fall back in to my old DS habit of killing off NPC's who serve no benefit to me alive :D

I tried my hand at some PvP last night, my first fight! I tried to record for ya'll but for some reason it only recorded from my loading screen back into my world.
Needless to say, I kicked ass! I can really see yself putting in some time in the PvP of this, despite not being much of a fan of it in Dark Souls. I really enjoyed, it's really solid and gives the feeling each player is fairly equal. But tough as nails and tense as all hell.
 
I still can't beat that fucking boss. :( Tried a few more times last night with no luck. Will try again tonight.
 
So I haven't seen anyone mention this place yet, I found it last night and OMG! Try and stay away! This place is Dark and Sinister. The things I came across and read makes me think that Miyazaki is really warped and sick. This game is so fucking dark and morbid. I actually kinda felt naar.

Edit: I have noticed that this place unlocks the third headstone in The Hunters Dream (so I don't think I should be there at my current level).

Just visited this place yesterday, i agree with your comments :) :eek:. I got lost ended up fighting the boss who one hit keeled me lol

Shadow of Yharnam. I actually feel like I'm getting worse at fighting them each time. The video I posted was still my best attempt so far.
