Bloodborne: the official thread

I found Chalice dungeons to be very repetitive.
How many did you play? I find the environments repetitive as well, but as you unlock more they start to vary more. A lot of it still looks similar but there are enough differences to make them stand apart. E.g. A Pthumerian dungeon looks quite different from a Loran one and the enemy types differ a lot as well. You do fight the same bosses multiple times, but they are somewhat different (more health, faster attacks etc.) each time. I wanna try and do all the types at least once in the hope of getting decent runes and maybe more blood rocks, but not looking forward to the defiled ones. My ultimate goal is to get my character to lvl 250 and a few weapons to +10.

Man, these depth 5 Loran dungeons are tough as nails! Wonder what the last set is going to be like. I'm making progress slowly but surely at least. Got to level 170 today and finally got a second weapon (Evelyn) to +10. Also got my Burial Blade to +9 and I'm hoping I can find another Blood Rock in a dungeon to get it to +10 as well.

The challice dungeons are there for characters of a high level.Depth 5 is where things heat up and there are enemies that only appear in challice dungeons. There also is different dungeon areas wich add some variety.

Yeah man, I'm level 175 now and I'm finding plenty of people to beckon so I imagine I am the right level for these dungeons. Started my first cursed (Lower Loran Root) dungeon last night amd I'll continue with it after work today. It's pretty tough when a boss can kill you in one hit and other enemies in one or two hits.

Still need to unlock the Isz dungeons but I'm sure I'll get a chalice soon.

I just realised I have to kill Ebriates to get the Isz dungeons. Shit. I couldn't even do that on the normal game, I have no idea how I'm gonna do it on NG+.

EDIT: Scratch that. Just beat her, with some help of course. Hell Yeah!

Got the plat last night! Hell Yeah! Even though I have the plat now, I'm not quite done with the game yet. I will play it at least until Witcher's NG+ comes out.

'grats Wlad, no easy task I'm sure. I've personally lost interest in Bloodborne unfortunately :( I just find it hasn't captured me like it has with Dark Souls series. It's a great game, don't get me wrong, but I think it boils down to the setting/theme. It's just too dark.

Thanks bro. Yeah, I get what you're saying about it being too dark. I've heard the same from some friends of mine. But I love how dark it is. It's definitely my favourite From Soft game and now in my top 3 games of all time.

If you guys thought Father Gascoine was tough, wait until you see his NG++ version. Hot damn! Tried about 5 or 6 times on my own (in vain), before summoning some (much needed) help and even then he was super hard to beat.

NG++ Shadows of Yahrnam were handing me my ass last night! I have no idea how I am going to make it past them, or Rom after them if I manage to take them down.

I played from the time it unlocked until now and I must say I am very impressed. My character is at lvl 69 and I was having a pretty hard time, some of the enemies can take (and hand out) quite a beating. I made it to the first new boss once, but he got the best of me before too long. At least I got one of the new weapons up to +6.

Can't wait to continue after work tomorrow (today).
