What boardgames do you play, and/or which one would you recommend?

I've played RuneBound, and really enjoyed it. Could play almost the whole night, especially if you have some extensions (weapons, monsters, etc).

The only boardgame I enjoyed was Risk.

... or Dumboard. But that's a little more physical.

I used to play 30 Seconds a couple of years ago. Hmmm haven't played boardgames in ages. It was fun though. Have friends over, get some drinks and laugh so much that you want to die.

You start off exploring this haunted house as a group and at some point one of you will become possessed or go mad and try to kill everyone else. And each time the scenario is different

Best board game was mouse trap lol doubt you'll ever find that though, otherwise, battleship, trivial pursuit, mastermind, and risk are great ones

I was actually more hinting at role playing boardgames

My family in Germany told me there is a shop in Neurnburg, with only role playing boardgames. A full 2 storeys of it!
