Books that aren't movies yet for some reason...

I dunno, some of King's movies (like Misery, Kathy Bates was epic) don't turn out absolute shite :p

No there are a couple of good ones. like Shawshank and Green Mile. but the majority.... like Sleepwalkers... and Tommyknockers... and Langoliers... and The Dark Half...

Shawshank is one of my top rated books/movies. Back to books that I think would make a good movie, River God by Wilbur Smith. Could not get into many of his books, but I think that could be an epic movie. The follow up The 7th Scroll could also do a movie justice if done right.

I do have a very bad experience with Books becoming movies! A VERY good example is the Hobbit movie series....
This Thread should be named Books that should STAY books and NOT become movies! Just to keep that vision you have in your mind of your favorite books untarnished by a movie.

On the graphic novel side, I would love to see a mini-series (or movie trilogy, one could never do it justice) of Transmetropolitan.

I actually enjoyed Sleepwalkers grew on me after a while and me so scared as an impressionable youth.

I'd love to see a solid attempt at a Lovecraftian short story..

Don't know how they get that feeling of dread and helplessness across though...

/reads a book
/finishes book
/thinks to self
"Why is this not made into a movie?"
/movie announced
/movie premiered
/movie watched

"WHY?! Why did they turn this into a movie?! It was dreadful!"

:D

Can i just ask why there was never an Arragon 2 made? That first movie was awesome :wtf:

For example, the percy jackson series?

You sir... Are correct...
I must admit, I'm a big dragon fan but I didn't like the movie at all. I even tried the first book (against Snare's warning:rolleyes:), and even the book didn't keep me interested.

Speaking of bad experiences, I am number four crushed my soul
