Both Modern Warfare games had cool boot camp missions. I finally managed to get my New Squadron Record achievement for Modern Warfare the other day. :D
 
There are a few games that still have the orientation mission at the start, although some designers seem to taken the concept slightly further to being in combat while receiving the training, which I personally prefer
