Borderlands 2 GOTY - Steam

Hi there. I own borderlands 2 vanilla (GMG summer sale bundle FTW), and my friend bought GOTY, and we gonna play together. SO...I was wondering, if/when its on summer sale again, and I buy the GOTY, will the base game become a gift, or disappear. I'd like to be able to gift it to community, but paying the "full" price for ONLY the dlc isn't worth it.

Anyone have any experience with GOTY editions and vanilla's in your account? If i bought the game as a gift would i get 1 item in inventory or all of them individually?

I believe it will disappear. Or that's what someone answered me when I asked the question a while ago.

Does the Season Pass include all the DLC? I've never quite looked at season passes so I'm not sure what they are.

Yeah also have zero experience with season passes. But maybe thats the route i need to take.
 
Unless it specifically states on the store page that you will receive an extra giftable copy, the game disappears.
 
as far as I know it will just add the DLCs

you'll be a lot better off getting the season pass as the GOTY doesn't come with ALL the DLCs
 
Yeah, saw it a bit too late myself. I jumped and bought when I saw the Season Pass on sale. Afterwards, I saw the GOTY on sale for the same price, but with more DLC. I felt like an ass.
 
I bought the season pass when it was released, was very bummed when I saw the supposed "Season Pass" doesnt include all. Dropped the high respect for Gearbox somewhat.

Also, not getting the pre sequel...I can bring myself to play more Borderlands 2, havent finnished it, feels like a chore. Maybe in a month or two I'll try again.
