Lol, I'm off on Thurdays and Fridays, but I have to work on Saturdays and Sundays. The joys of retail. :p

Getting it on PC, I need that PhysX. :D
 
I've put in about 2 hours now and I am (obviously) LOVING it! Claptrap is such an awesome class and has become my favourite class in all of Borderlands. The new laser weapons are pretty cool (only found one type so far) and the low-gravity butt-stomping is awesome! If you are a fan of Borderlands, or any loot-driven game for that matter, then you need to get this game ASAP, well worth the asking price.

Dude I have to hate you right now :( I cant get it yet - just dont have the cash right now - will see in a month or two.

Lol, it will be well worth the wait. I've only played for 2 hours, but I already know this will be my personal GOTY.
 
Oh I am sure that I will love the game, I binge on BL every now and then, I still have to finish some of the DLC in BL2 tho
 
Finished the game last night, took me about 25 hours and I made it to lvl 30. Started a new game with Wilhelm right away, I might wait for the DLC before starting TVHM with Claptrap, haven't really decided yet.

wow, that's epic!! so how does Claptrap's ability work ?? what happens when you press the LB ?

Claptrap's action skill is the coolest thing ever in Borderlands. Basically he has a bunch of abilities that activate at random and depending on which skills you choose, you can add more abilities to the pool that it chooses from. Sometimes you summon a miniontrap that fires rockets at enemies, sometimes you start gunzerking while being unable to stop shooting and sometimes you turn into a bullet-reflecting rubber duck that bounces around uncontrollably etc. It's awesome. :D

On top of that (depinding on which skill tree you choose) he also has a subroutine active at all times that grants certain bonuses and penelties. For example: if you have a SMG subroutine active, SMG's can do up to 75% (I think) more damage, with increased reload speed etc. as well, but all other guns do up to 45% (I think) less damage while that subroutine is active. It starts with 100 stacks and continually counts down and then switches to a different subroutine when it reaches 0; eventually you can also unlock the ability to release a rainbow nova (all elements) everytime a new subroutine is chosen. I really love this as it forces you to carry a gun of all types (and elements) around with you and you are constantly swopping out your weapons to match the subroutine. I think only the tree on the right hand side (Fragmented Fragtrap) has the subroutines though.

The tree on the left seems to be focused on explosive damage and the middle one seems to focused on boosting health, shields, etc. for you and your co-op friends.

Is no one else on the forum playing this awesome game? I have put in about 50 hours and I don't see myself stopping anytime soon. Started TVHM with Claptrap and I've also played with both Wilhelm and Athena to about level 15, will leave Nisha for last.

I also just picked up my Season Pass (which includes ALL future DLC this time around) from GMG for R240 thanks to their VIP programme.
 
Just watched this... and though I don't mind a Borderlands game (I quite enjoy them), I tend to agree with TB. I'm getting tired of Borderlands.

I haven't watched the video, but I am assuming it is not really positive. All I can say is too each his own. I have never enjoyed a game more than Borderlands 2 in all my life and I know The Pre-Sequel will give me the same amount of fun.
 
Playable Handsome Jack doppelganger coming the 11th. I cannot wait!!! :D Gives me enough time to finish the game at least once with all the current characters (already done with Claptrap ansld Athena and about halfway with Nisha and Wilhelm).
 
Played about 2 hours with Handsome Jack (body double) and I am LOVING this character, hence the new avatar. :p Being able to play as one of the coolest villians in gaming is awesome, most of the stuff he says is pretty damn hilarious.

I really need to get me a copy of this. FOR REALS. The misses and I co-op pretty well together, we are on our 2nd run through BL2!
