I played about 8 hours of this yesterday and I don't see how someone can give this game 2/10 and call it "an embarrassment on all fronts". Yeah the story and dialogue are not going to win any literature awards, but I'm enjoying it a lot, especially the sarcastic protagonist and conversations with your companions. The knight that always refers to himself in third person is pretty damn cool and the undead mage is also not too bad.
If you go into this game expecting the next Dark Souls or Dragon Age you will be disappointed, but it is a decent budget RPG. Almost feels like a smaller Witcher to me, and that's a good thing IMO. I also stopped caring about reviews a long time ago, you won't ever really know how good/bad a game is until you've played it yourself and I am glad I took a chance on this game.
