Braid dev causes Microsoft E3 “rape joke” ruckus

Yeah... ok I don't think it was a rape joke but it was way out of line. And yes, it could be perceived as a rape joke. Oh dear.

Whether it was a joke or not, Microsoft's "play" acting is always terribly lame. I don't know how many people they actually fool with it, but I wish they would just stop doing it.

I highly doubt Microsoft would have intentionally made a 'rape joke'.

I think that it probably never crossed their or the person saying its' minds that it would be interpreted that way, and sure it may seem now that it was an unfortunate choice of words...

I agree, doubt the guy was thinking when he said that and is now probably regretting it.

what no man. If it was a dude would it have been a rape joke? The guy was just stating that shes fighting a losing battle and just to let the fight happen.

I have seen and heard far worse things when it comes to games. Go on COD server and then see what they do there. This was not even smack talk

im sure the lady was a noob >< i still some what feel this was blown out of proportion alot.

Thats not the biggest troll fest at E3 this year i still feel its PS vs XbOne and thats a joke

That's kinda cool... Not the rape joke, well, not that it was one (people hear what they want to hear)... but the automatic recording of the gameplay that comes as standard. Does the PS have that as well?

The problem is always context and interpretation. So you see it like that and someone else will have a different view. This was a tweet, someone took the time to type it out without really thinking of the impact.

I think your example of the COD server is not a good one, there you have maybe 30 players seeing the comment. A tweet can be retweeted so the exposure and analysis would be far greater.

The joke was in poor taste.
