3:00 AM - my mom wakes me up and says the dogs are acting odd and she's sure she heard something. I go look around, find/see nothing and we all go back to sleep.
3:30 AM - a massive explosion type sound and within 20 seconds, we're all in one room, door locked, on the phone to 10111 telling them we have armed intruders in the house.
3:45 AM - the cops arrive and we go out (after shouting to them that we can't answer the doorbell because there are armed intruders ). They sweep the property and we go to the lounge to discover that the bastids have chucked the stone bird bath through the lounge window and stolen the LCD TV.
Thankfully they were scared off before totally cleaning us out and thankfully we are all safe. A big thanks to the relatively fast response time of the police and the ADT guy that stayed with us until it got light. He told us that he just got word that there was a burglary in progress up the road from us and true as bob, 5 minutes later, gunshots rung out. Hopefully the cops got their perps
