No thats not true.... these people watch our houses and threaten our maids and tell them if they dont organize safe entrance into our houses they will kill their families....
 
That sucks man...sorry to hear. Like 3 weeks ago my mom's car was stolen right off of our front lawn at 4AM. Have had a number of burglaries too, but since ADT etc. started combing the area and we installed spikes on our wall, the bastards haven't had any luck. Though I can't help but jump up and look outside whenever I hear a strange noise.

Though earlier this year we did have a funny incident. A guy was running from the police, so he jumped over our wall and ran through our back garden to access another street. As he was climbing over the opposite wall my dad and I had opened up the back door and let the dogs out, and in his panic to get away from the dogs, he forgot about the spikes on the wall and one of them went right through his foot :D The police subsequently grabbed him from the top of the wall and that was that.
