Broadband connections used by SA's gamers

I'd love to be able to get my hands on a 4mbs uncapped line. Unfortunately its just way to expensive. I'll have to be happy with my 1mbs uncapped for now.

Well since were on the subject, sort of...
How many players can these lines handle? with games like MW3, BF3, HON etc.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As I remember it most games on Steam just needed the machines the authenticate and would then
allow local play meaning much less load on the ADSL but what if a group of 10-15 people
on 1 line (394k/1MB/4MB) with some unshaped data (and which ISP`s are recommended) tried
playing say bf3 on a large maps etc.
Wanted to get my wife a copy of bf3 but didn`t wanna risk not being able to play 2 players (with voice)
online with friends and the line not coping (which might or might not be possible) on my 384k line...

A friend of mine i going to work in the cape and wants a wireless device for internet so he can
join us and would also like to know which provider to go with. I burned 600MB playing bf3 between
Tuesday and Wednesday and wireless data isn`t cheap or stable like I remember from my experience (VC...)

It`s a shame uncapped gets shaped though cause I find more things using to much bandwidth.
Were a bunch of friends that like the LAN idea, so we rock up at a house for a long weekend/holiday,
play games, socialize etc. but have played old games due to the whole internet online smothering LAN.

I'm happy with my 1Mb uncapped. I have no idea how much bandwidth any of my games use because I honestly don't care. My brother and I frequently play BF3 on the same line in 64 player matches, I reckon we could have up to 4 people playing on the line in a 32 player match with a decent ping.

Sadly I can only go to 1mb (distance to exchange). Wife and I play online often on it, no hassles. Just cannot download stuff and game at the same time :)

Line and ISP is mweb (uncapped) no hassles there, ever.

Same here, I would love to have a 4Mb or faster line but 1Mb is currently enough for me. If I wanna download something, I just wait a little longer. The only thing I REALLY hate on the 1mb is trying to stream movies of YouTube etc (HD Specific)... Play, stop, buffer, play stop buffer, play stop buffer.... its annoying.....
