Broadband Survey - Win R1000 OR an ADSL Wireless Modem

Psyndrome, would it be possible for you to email the person again, as well as letting us know the subject header and exact time and date of the email?

E.g. The email could have gone to the person's Spam folder, especially if the email is in the format of "Congratulations, you have won!!!" type email.

I've emailed the person again.

It shouldn't go to the spam folder as I sent it from my university email, which has a .ac.za

Sure, it shouldn't but u never know.

Recently had a case of a person emailing me and some other people about a VERY important matter and 2 of the 5 people the email was sent to didn't receive it. I checked and checked and then found the email in my GMail spam folder. Nothing in the email made it look like spam to me, but for some reason GMail thought it was spam. IT's always possible i marked it as spam inadvertently cause my Habu mouse has a double clicking problem...

[edit]Nah, on second thought, it couldn't have been that. I found 2 copies of the email in Spam, as they sent the email twice, about 3 days apart. [/edit]

The other person that didn't receive it was using a work email so its weird that 2 of us didnt get the email in question!

I didn't want to give it away but it was to a GMail account.
In any event, I can't make the email NOT go into the spam folder. So I think maybe its the duty of the person to check.
As such I will have the draw again. And will send out a final email by this weekend.
Thanks for the patience guys. Just feel bad for the current winner but I can't do anything about it. More luck for the other guys then.

When u send the follow up mail, try to stay away from spam-type language :)

Your subject header has a classic spam look and feel to it :p

If i was the spam filter for GMail, i would probably also mark your email(s) as spam :D

Presumably the winnder is not subscribed to this thread, and that's unfortunate cause then they really will have no clue that they need to check their Spam folder...

agreed...
I will send a 3rd email to verify. If not by the end of the weekend then sorry hardluck!!!!
I'm giving 'til the end of the weekend. I will send another email.
Sorry guys...I will do the last and final draw on Monday then. If the user does not check his account by then. Sorry not my "bad"!!!

I honestly can't control SPAM gauged in any email!!! Hard luck if you don't check! sorry but this has to be done!

Sorry guys, i'm tired of waiting and please guys check everything including smap/junk email!
The message must say: "Congratulations - Winner of the Broadband Survey Competition"

Cheers!

Just ignore Strontium ...... sheesh, you don't have to acquiesce to demands ffs. If people don't check their spam/junk folders, it's not your problem Psy ;)

Email has been sent. And the winner is...

Murray Robert Carte

Murray has decided to take the cash prize of R1000.

Thanks to everyone who participated in the competition. See email for more information.

Congrats Murray! :)

And thanks for giving away a prize with your survey Psyndrome. I hope the survey went well. :)

Please ensure that you send him the correct prize and not R1000 worth of waterproof pods :)
