BTGames! Upgrade Your Site!

nah, I find rants to be very interesting. Especially ones on hellopeter.com

Get bored easily, eh? I have enough trouble stomaching my own complaints :p I don't think I've ever actually used HelloPeter, I tend to just complain with gamers since they're more likely to understand and I sincerely doubt BT would ever respond or do anything. Facing facts, it's not as though they've done anything about what people have complained about in at least three years. Why would they change their spots now?

No please, tell us all again :D

Shush you! :p

btgames is just there when i need a backup order for my games.. :D

*nod* I do the same these days. BT are by no means my first choice any more and I only use them when I absolutely have to. I've already pre-ordered the Mass Effect 3 N7 Edition from them but if somewhere else lists it I'd rather get it elsewhere.

Put it this way, I use BT, but begrudgingly. The same way one might use Telkom--it's a necessary evil and is basically the only place you are guaranteed your pre-order if you've ordered early enough.

I don't buy from them. I don't like their attitude. I don't like their company policies. If some bizarre situation occurs where no-one else has what I want I'll go without or import it myself.

The only real advantage BTGames has over many of the other shops is the second-hand games (which has saved me a lot of money so far).

i think btgames second hand games are cool but i love zaps used games so much more for trade ins and buying :) max i ever paid was 350 from zaps for a game..

If you have uncapped :p My steam games list is rather alrge, but I havent played half the games as it takes so long for me to download them *carefully rations monthly cap*

I don't have an uncapped account. I use Web Africa as my ISP. They have a Steam Proxy Server. If you use their steam server it does not use your cap. Hence my statement... Steam > BT Games :)

Even BT Games store service sucks, the only joy i got was when i called the HO in Jburg

I haven't had a problem with their store service... yet. Only thing is you can find the same games they have far cheaper elsewhere, and apparently they wont beat the prices.

I have once, i arrived at the store on a friday to pick up a pre-order. I know it was only 10mins early, but they were there i could see customers still in the store, but refused me entry. I wouldn't have taken a 30 min trip if a knew they closed early. Their site is absolutely ridiculously shite. Its a computer game selling company, you would expect a really sleek awesome site, but it seems to be a throw back to the 90s in functionality.

Well Heroes VI has been delayed and they still have the older release date. It was announced that it would be delayed about two weeks ago.
For those of you who don't know it will be released in early October 2011

Agreed.
Online everything is becoming more and more prevalent, and the people buying games will pretty much go and look online first at whatever game they wanna get and get indicative prices off the web too. I personally would rather buy online than go to a store. Those dudes behind the counter always piss me off for some reason. They're more on a friggen vacation than on the job.

Pay someone to professionally redo your site BTgames....seriously! And dont go to the cheapest place either.

Yeah, they'll probably change the release date on their site when people start calling in asking why their game hasn't arrived. Or they'll ninja-change it without notifying anyone, like what happened with Assassin's Creed and then some people will sit around home looking like poephols and waiting for something that isn't coming.

Totally Agree. Was on it once. Don't even think it was very much updated.

Not only should they upgrade their site, but also their freaken customer service. Will not go into details, but I have spend THOUSANDS of rands at BT as it is / was the only retailer I bought my games from. Not anymore though.

The Woman at the counter in BT Brooklyn was so snotty when I bought DX HR last Friday, so much so, that if I was a girl I would have punched her in the face. Something which I almost did in anycase.

I will never EVER buy something at BT games Brooklyn EVER again. The service was absolutely horrible, my friend with me walked out of the shop cause he said "I would have tuned that BITCH so much" This after I have supported them, literally bought 150+ PC games there the last couple of years.
