Hi

Looking to buy a budget headset with mic to use for example in Counter Strike for voice chat etc.

Any recommendations?

By budget, what sort of price range are you looking at? Also, do you just want to use it on PC, or on consoles as well?

the turtle beach earforce 1's are pretty decent hey. they fit snuggly and cancel out outside noises wonderfully.

Just get one of those logitech skype headsets...

Slightly uncomfortable, but the mic quality makes up for it by far.

And they are cheap

I have some Sennheiser HD202's which are really nice in terms of sound quality, so that Zalman clip on would be nice, but at the same time I find those headphones get uncomfortable after a while so I usually use speakers.

I was looking at something like the Logitech G330's as they go behind the head and that will be more comfortable.

I'm not a fan of the G330's design. I found that the plastic would hurt my ears. To each his own though. And those HD 202s do get quite uncomfortable after long periods of time.

Yeah I think that Zalman mic is a good thing and it's a pretty decent price so if it doesn't work how I need it then it's not too much of a loss.
